Get involved

We’d growing a community of likeminded people who know they can use Circuit Breaker to reset, restore and reconnect anytime.

What does this mean in practice? Well we’re working on that but here’s what we’re thinking.

If you’ve experienced Circuit Breaker (e.g. you’ve come on a retreat or you’ve stayed or you know some of the people involved) and you like the idea of getting involved and coming up more often then let us know. The basic idea we’re exploring is that we invite value aligned people to join a kind of club which among other things gives you the right to either buy or earn credits. Credits can be bought (perhaps in blocks of say $300) or earned by working on the land (e.g. gardening, upgrading cabins, building new structures etc). These credits can be exchanged for short-stay use of the cabins/house/land (inc camping) during the year (typically 2-7 days).

The number of credits needed per night accommodation will depend on the time of year and the day of the week and the cabin vs house (we’d create a list of options). By having more regular visitors and using the credit system should mean that the admin hassle/cost can be reduced to make it more affordable/accessible.

People with credits will also get invited to regular chill out weekends (kind of a self organised retreat where we all pitch in to create a welcoming, authentic, relaxing environment).

The aim would be to create a financially sustainable system where people can easily take time out (sometimes at short-notice). For some this will involve quiet reflection, for others it will be more social.
